John M. Boutchia III

Author of the First Steps discipleship material & Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Englewood, FL

     John was born and raised outside of Boston, MA. He spent his high school years at a Christian High School called Dublin Christian Academy. It was in his last year that he received Christ as his Savior. In 1993, John graduated from Bob Jones University and in 2015 completed his master's degree from West Coast Baptist College. 

     Shortly after finishing college, John became associate pastor at Gospel Baptist Church in Bonita Spring and served there for over 20 years. In 2016, he became senior pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood, FL.

     John is married to his beautiful wife of 25 years, Darla (McGhee). Together they have three children: John, James & Julianne. Johnny currently serves alongside his dad as youth director.
